🪑 Why I’m Updating My Dining Chairs This Fall

Fall is coming—and we all know that’s just the warm-up before the full-on holiday marathon. If you’re like me, you’re already running through the mental checklist: Which holidays am I hosting this year? Who’s coming? And, wait… do I have enough chairs for everyone?

That last one hit me hard this year when a family member accidentally broke one of our dining chairs not too long ago -don’t worry, no names will be mentioned 🤭. This not only created the perfect excuse to look around my home and admit—yep, it’s time for some new chairs, but Coco & Tori’s (our mini goats) home got an update. The broken chair was repurposed with a stump in the goat’s run!

Here’s the vibe: bright natural light, clutter-free minimalism, and white walls everywhere. No “accent walls” here—just Sherwin-Williams Alabaster, my favorite white because it plays nice with both cool and warm tones.

🌿 How I Keep My Home from Feeling Too Plain

  • Big, lush houseplants â€“ (hello, fiddle leaf fig 🌿). These beauties can grow up to 10 feet indoors and instantly add drama and earthy warmth.
  • Soy candles â€“ A soft glow and subtle scent that makes any room feel inviting.
  • Throw blankets & pillows â€“ Layering cozy textures without adding clutter.
  • Seasonal touches â€“ Little swaps during the holidays bring in warmth and charm without overwhelming the space.

This year, my focus is on the dining room – normally pretty basic year-round. While needing to say, goodbye to faux leather chairs (thanks for your service, but your time is up đź‘‹) and hello, soft upholstered seating, for a clean, comfortable feel.

✨ During my search for chairs, I’ve pulled together my favorite finds—from dining chairs to table runners to those pottery-style dishes—so you can refresh your space right along with me. The pieces I chose below are neutral staple pieces, easily transformed with any season and any holiday! Check out my curated list below and see which pieces inspire you!

XO, Robin
